About Junior Witter
Born in Bradford on 10/03/1974 Junior is a highly decorated former professional boxer who competed from 1997 to 2015, boxing in over 50 professional contests. Fighting out of the famous Ingle Gym in Wincobank, Sheffield. He reached the pinical of the sport in 2006 winning the WBC Light Welterweight Title against tough opponent DeMarcus “Chop Chop” Corley. Witter held the WBC title until 2008.
“The Hitter” also held the British and Commonwealth Light Welterweight Title from 2002 to 2005 and the EBU European Light Welterweight Title from 2004 to 2005. Then came a move up to Welterweight where he became a two weight British Title holder in 2012.
With a history for flashy ring attire, and an eye for quality, Junior looks to continue his career in boxing as a coach, guiding the next generation of amateurs and professionals from his Rotherham based stable (Witter’s Boxing Club).
